Howell, MI - The Wolverines used a high powered offense along with a clutch defense to notch their first win of the season as they defeated the Coolers, 35-14.
Carter scored 3 TDs vs the Coolers |
Carter lead the way for the Wolverines with an incredible all-around performance. Cater recorded five receptions, three touchdowns, and also added one interception. "A complete, dominating performance for Carter today," remarked all-time quarterback Mr. Horne. "Carter took it upon himself to make sure that the Wolverines closed this game out. He played awesome today."
The Wolverines (1-0-1), jumped out to an early 14-0 lead thanks to touchdowns from Carter and Reed.
Chad led the Coolers with 2 TDs |
Logan made what some are calling the catch of the season on the Wolverines next possession. Horne floated the ball to Logan, who had beat his defenders on a corner route, and Logan made an incredible diving catch for the touchdown. "Look for Logan's grab on Sports Center tonight," joked Horne. "He (Logan) went full extension, and made a diving catch. I can't believe he hung onto that ball!"
Reed and Matt played tough |
"I think the Wolverines learned to keep the pedal to the medal for the entire game after they lost their big lead in their previous game," said Horne. "Let's not take anything away from the Coolers either. They played a good game and played with effort today."
