Howell, MI - The Lions dominated every phase of the game, soundly defeating the Lucky Ducks 35-0 Friday. The suffocating Lions defense allowed only two first downs for the entire game, as they confused the Ducks offense by showing them several different looks on defense. Brian G recorded a 100 yard interception return for a touchdown, the longest return this season.
The victory clinches the #1 seed in the playoffs for the Lions (4-0). The Lions and Steelers have identical 4-0 records, however, the Lions claim the #1 seed due to their point differential.
The loss drops the Lucky Ducks (1-2-1) out of the playoff race. Give credit to the Ducks collective attitude, as they never gave up and fought hard until the last whistle.
"Really impressed with the Lions play and the Ducks attitude today," stated Mr. Horne. "The Lions could have put it on cruise control in the 2nd half, but they stayed focused, and the Ducks just refused to give up. Proud of both teams today!"
