Howell, MI - The Lions escaped with a narrow victory Friday, 28-21 over the BullBoxers. Mr. Horne's last second pass sailed past the outstretched arms of the BullBoxers' Mason in the endzone as time expired. "I thought I had Mason open on the last play of the game," said all-time quarterback Mr. Horne. "I must have lead him a little too far to the inside because Mason made a great effort, but couldn't quite get to the ball." If caught, the BullBoxers would have tied the game at 28-28. Instead, the Lions survived and won the game 28-21.

The game started off with several long completions, as the Lions took an early 7-0 lead. The BullBoxers bounced back quickly, as Mason hauled in his first touchdown reception of the season, tying the game at 7-7. It didn't take long for the Lions to reclaim the lead, however. Joe scored a on a long touchdown pass, courtesy of a flea-flicker from Will, back to Mr. Horne, giving the Lions a 14-7 advantage.

Once again, the BullBoxers responded. This time Josh went up high for a jump ball on a perfectly thrown fade pattern in the corner of the endzone, evening the score at 14-14. There were actually two BullBoxers in on the play, as both Josh and Mason fought each other for the ball. Both BullBoxer players thought that a Lion defender was trying to intercept the pass, not knowing that it was their own teammate battling them for possession

The game continued to seesaw back and forth, until the BullBoxers came oh so close to tying the game as time ran out. "I thought every player played fantastic today," said Mr. Horne. "Looking at the stats in the locker room after the game, I noticed that every player had at least one catch today. That doesn't happen to often in this league!"

bullboxers did good. If there were a couple more plays they could of tied the game at 28-28 but there was no time left
